This subject introduced students to the principles and practices of data visualisation, with an emphasis on transforming complex information into accessible and engaging visual forms. Students collected, organised, and wrangled data, and examined how to design effective charts, maps, diagrams, and infographics, integrating these into cohesive storytelling outcomes. The subject also engaged students in theoretical and critical discussions on data, information, and representation. Through practice-based projects, students developed infographics and interactive mock-ups, applying Graphic Design and Interactive Design principles to produce compelling and meaningful visualisations.
