Biography

Dr Andy Grainger is a lecturer in sport development and the sociology of sport. His research and teaching focuses on the sociocultural and sociohistorical analysis of sport, physical culture, and physical activity. Andy has published widely on topics related to the globalization of sport, the politics of multiculturalism, and sport and national identity. His current research explores the intersections of gender equality, geopolitics, and international women’s football.
