Research summary

He is an expert in mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography and the application of these technologies towards important questions in medical research.  Some collaborative research accomplishments include:

• An inventor of ozone-induced dissociation, a technique to determine the position of multiple bonds in fatty acid chains of lipids by mass spectrometry.  
• First synthesis and characterisation of the biopolymer PEDOT:PSS.
• First accurate measurement of the concentration of somatostatin in human blood.
• Ongoing development of promising new treatment for glioblastoma.
