Dr Diogo Machado is a lecturer at Western Sydney University. He holds a PhD in Law (UNSW), an MSc in Criminology (University of Glasgow), and an LLB First-Class Honours (University of Brasília).
Before entering academia, Diogo worked as an international lawyer, negotiating treaties and advancing international cooperation alongside the United Nations, G20, OECD, Interpol, FATF, the European Judicial Network, the Organisation of American States, Mercosur, and the International Association of Anti-corruption Authorities. His scholarship in public international law and criminal law bridges professional and disciplinary knowledge, with contributions to the fields of transnational crimes, cultural heritage, and criminology.
