Dr Georgia Durmush is a Wailwan scholar and is a Senior lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at Western Sydney University. She has a PhD in Indigenous student wellbeing in higher education. Her research and teaching work is inter-disciplinary and spans across disciplines including Sociology, Indigenous Studies, Education and Youth Work. Her scholarly work centres Indigenous people’s wellbeing perspectives in schools, universities, and recently focuses on building Indigenous wealth creation and sustainability.  Her scholarship is grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing, and contributes to advancing Indigenous educational success, wellbeing, and financial literacy education and wealth creation.
