Biography
Dr Helen Koukoutsis is a poet, critic, and a women’s writing scholar, with a special interest in Emily Dickinson’s poetry and cultural milieu. Her first collection of poems, Cicada Chimes, was published in 2017 by Ginninderra Press and has received critical attention more recently for its attempt to bridge the gap of multiculturalism and world literature. She teaches all forms of literature to undergraduates, as well as creative fiction. She manages Hatch, an anthology for undergraduate writers at Western Sydney, and runs writing group sessions for devoted creative writing students who are serious about developing their craft beyond the immediate classroom environment.
