Biography

Dr Jacinta Sassine is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Law and admitted lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. She conducts interdisciplinary research and teaches across legal philosophy, political theory, literature, and data and privacy law. Her research draws on ancient rhetorical traditions and contemporary technologies to explore the intersections of law, language, and power, with a particular focus on how authority is constructed and contested. Jacinta has managed several research projects with industry and government partners that have reflected her interest in justice and communication-based projects, particularly surrounding digital rights and responsible technologies.
