Dr Kaitlyn Poole is an Associate Lecturer at the WSU Law School. Her work encompasses law, popular culture and social justice. Her research centres on creative methodologies that imagine popular culture's legal possibilities and its capabilities for social change. By combining creative writing and visual mediums with sociolegal scholarship, Kaitlyn seeks to progress the translation of the law to and from the popular imaginings of justice.
Kaitlyn has a Bachelor of Law/Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Wollongong, Australia. She obtained her PhD titled 'Teenagers Scare the Living Sh*T Out of Me: Popular Literature as a Critical Framework for Youth Legal Activism' from the University of Wollongong in 2024.
