Patcharapar (Kate) is an Associate Research Fellow at the Institute for Cultural and Society, Western Sydney University, with a background in software engineering, finance, international business, and the sharing economy. Her research focuses on the nexus of mobile communication and artificial intelligence (AI) and their development as part of the 'After the Smartphone' project, with a specific focus on the Southeast Asian region. Her interests also lie in leveraging the digital platforms for sustainable community development, fostering entrepreneurial activities, and exploring decentralized economies, particularly within emerging markets.
