Biography

Professor Lucie Ramjan (RN, BN (Dist.), BN (Hons – 1stClass), PhD) is a Professor of Nursing and the Director of International Programs and Engagement in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Western Sydney University (WSU) and an Honorary Associate Professor with the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health at the University of Wollongong. Her international standing and expertise as a global research leader in nurse education (students) and young people’s health is recognised by rankings including “World’s Top 2% Scientists for the Single Year Impact” 2021-2024 (Elsevier BV, Mendeley Data). She has published over 160 publications (H-index: 34 in Google Scholar; 24 in Scopus) and has a deep commitment to the development of higher degree research (HDR) students. Professor Ramjan’s most significant contributions to research have been in the fields of eating disorders; adolescent and young adult health; and students at University. Her research methodology strength is qualitative research, co-design and participatory action research (engaging people with lived experience in participation in applied clinical studies).
