Dr Luke Jenkins is a Lecturer in the Physiotherapy department at Western Sydney University. He completed his PhD in 2023 and also holds a Masters of Physiotherapy from Sydney University and Bachelor of Health Science (Sport and Exercise Science) from Western Sydney University.
Luke is now a member of the Brain Stimulation and Rehabilitation Lab in the School of Health Sciences, and previously held an honorary post-doctoral position at Neuroscience Research Australia.
Luke is a passionate educator, teaching across a range of subjects during his time as an academic, currently he teaches Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Western Sydney University.
Luke continues to work clinically as a physiotherapist within the scope of musculoskeletal pain and occupational health.
Luke is an early career researcher interested in understanding neurobiological mechansisms underpinning transition from acute to chronic pain. He has experience in a range of research methodologies including transcranial magnetic stimulation, electroencephalography, electromyography, quantitative sensory testing, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and proteomics. He has published work in high impact journals including PAIN and Journal of Pain.
