Biography

Dr Dowd (published as Kilvington-Dowd) is an early career researcher and and senior research assistant in the School of Social Sciences and Institute of Culture and Society at Western Sydney University. Her research interest is focussed in the areas of marginalisation, gender and masculinities, social change and programme evaluation. She has worked on several research projects that inform policy and practice. A key focus of her of her own work is developing and contributing further understanding about the shifts and changes in masculine practices in young men
