Biography

Marini has two decades of collective professional experience in academia, building industry and public sector. Her PhD is in Built Environment, which was funded by CRC for Low Carbon Living. She is currently teaching in Architecture, Construction Management and Building Design Management programs. Her current research work is in subject areas of Sustainable design and policy, NetZero carbon, Embodied carbon in construction materials and Digitalisation of Construction. Concurrent to being an academic in the field of Built Environment, she an overseas registered Architect (accredited by Royal Institute of British Architects) and has involved in many completed building projects. Marini also has been in public sector service for NSW Department of Planning and Environment. As a member of the state policy and strategic advice team, she has contributed to the implementation of NSW State Environmental Planning Policy (Sustainable Buildings) 2022 through developments to the BASIX Materials Index.
