Biography

Dr. Nishanthi Raveendran is an Associate Lecturer in Statistics at the School of Computer, Data, and Mathematical Sciences at Western Sydney University. She holds a PhD in Statistics from Macquarie University, where her research focused on developing novel computational algorithms for spatial segmentation and clustering problems. Prior to her current role, she completed a one-year postdoctoral position at Macquarie University. She completed her Master of Research at Macquarie University in 2017, with a thesis titled "Binary Segmentation Methods for Identifying Boundaries of Spatial Domains". For her outstanding thesis, she was awarded the University Medal for Statistics.
