Personal profile

Biography

As an economist, I am formally rated among the top 1.2% of 50,663 economists of the globe & ranked 28 among all living Australian economists (1427) – ranked by RePEc (both in terms of number of published journal pages weighted by number of authors). The Google Scholar enlists about 200 of publications – including about 90 journal articles, seven (7) books, twenty-five (25) book chapters and edited (edit) several Q1 journals. Over a decade since 2014, 80+ of my papers got published.  During 2020-2025 I have published 50+ articles and about 30+ articles in premium journals (A/A*/Q1) . My research has been formally recognised by others for creating several new ideas in economics and finance, as examples:

  • Triangular imbalance model of global trade and finance
  • Relevance of “voice” for avoiding democratic failures
  • Irrelevance of Independent Central (Reserve) Bank for Australia
  • Efficient outcome in coalitional bargaining games
  • Indispensability of collective rationality for social efficiency
  • Endogenous sharing rule as social norms in rent-seeking & team production

My research leadership is demonstrated in the following:

  • Current Chair, Economists for Peace and Security, Australia, https://epsaustralia.weebly.com/, An Affiliate of EPS (Economists for Peace and Security). EPS is a UN accredited and registered global organisation with its headquarters in New York, 17 Nobel-Laureates on its Board of Trustees (epsusa.org)
