Biography
Paul is a registered paramedic and Professor of Paramedicine at Western Sydney University (WSU). He is Deputy Chair of the WSU Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC), Deputy Chair/Chair-Elect of the Australasian College of Paramedicine, and a Practitioner Member of Paramedicine Council of NSW.
He previously served as the inaugural Director of Paramedicine at WSU (2013-2022), Editor in Chief of the international journal 'Paramedicine' (2021-2026), Founding Chair of Australasian Council of Paramedicine Deans (2018-2022), and Chair of the National Paramedicine Competency Assessment Consortium (2020-2023).
Outside of these roles, Paul is a strong advocate for sustainable academic life. Having once lost his own balance, he now gives voice to balance in life and supporting people develop values-based academic and professional careers.
