Doctor Sasha Alexander

Dr. Sasha Alexander PhD is a 3^rd generation creative with Industrial Design and Business Value Chain degrees and European, Australian, Asian, North American design industry experience, and Fellow and past state President and Federal Councillor of the Design Institute of Australia peak design body. Currently member of the Western Sydney University (#1 in UNSDG Global Impact University Rankings 3^rd year running to 2024) Architecture and Industrial Design Department across teaching, governance, industry engagement and research, in the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment, Sydney, Australia.

Sasha’s design approach to sustainable innovation while improving health outcomes with positive social impact and maximising UNSDGs has seen collaborations, research and funding in outer space habitat designs, designing for heat island effect, indigenous knowledges in built environment, designing for circular economy (customer, manufacturer, community), transport for the future, sustainability as the design imperative, design for voice disorder, design for vision impairment, water conservation, forestry high value-add, child and adult health, advanced manufacturing, and industry value chains across human, economic and environmental impacts where Design as a Governance Model continues to reward and include all.
