Research description

Dr Grant is an integrative oncology and TCIM research expert.  She applies mixed-methods, evidence synthesis, and implementation science to develop, evaluate, and translate integrative oncology and supportive cancer care interventions into sustainable, equitable and accessible models of care.

Her research includes clinical research to assess TCIM interventions, including acupuncture, yoga, mindfulness, Chinese herbal medicine, multi-modal interventions and cancer survivorship programs, medicinal mushrooms, and psilocybin-assisted therapy.  Suzanne combines qualitative and quantitative methodologies to ensure rigorous and comprehensive evaluation.

Community and stakeholder engagement is central to her research. She collaborates with patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to codesign culturally responsive and equitable supportive care cancer programs, particularly for culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Her research informs best practices and contributes to the long-term integration of TCIM approaches into oncology care.
