Tegan Bennett Daylight is a writer, teacher and critic, living on Darug/Gundungurra country. She is the author of 14 books, including Six Bedrooms (Penguin Random House, 2015), a collection of short stories that was shortlisted for the Stella Prize, the Steele Rudd Award and the Als Gold Medal; The Details (Scribner, 2021), a collection of essays on love, death and reading, which was shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Literary Award and the YA novel Royals (Simon & Schuster, 2023), which was shortlisted for the NSW Premier's Award. She teaches and supervises students in the discipline of creative writing at Western Sydney University.
