The College recognises that many Fellows of the College, Fellows of Faculties and other Scientists, including those working in private practice and outside an institution with an accredited training program, make an outstanding contribution to the teaching and training of registrars, often in their own time. So that the contribution does not go unrecognised, the College has established two Awards, one for Fellows of the College and one for Scientists, for ‘Outstanding Teaching’, analogous to the teaching awards made available by many universities in Australasia.
