Description

The OPENAIR project won the Healthy Planet, Healthy People Award at the 35th National Banksia Sustainability Awards in April, 2024. The awards are the longest-running and most prestigious sustainability awards in Australia.

My contributions:
In the OPENAIR Project, I led one of six workstreams, contributing to its development and execution. I organized a workshop at WSU, contributed to the project proposal, and invited councils to participate. I also developed an online survey, presented at two workshops, and documented my workstream’s outcomes. Additionally, I showcased how environmental monitoring can identify disease hotspots and environmental risk factors, supporting public health management.
