Educational Pathology Tweet Award 2022

Prize

Description

PathTweetAward is run mainly by a panel of screening judges, mainly who are internationa experts in their fields, who assess the educational value and efficacy of pathology posts by considering various criteria such as educational value, scientific value, overall quality, and effective use of all the tools that X has to offer such as the ability to include images, video, and links to the published literature in posts. Screening judges are responsible for assessing the posts posted on X and assigning the #PathTweetAward to posts/tweets that demonstrate exceptional quality. Judges evaluate Tweets in detail for a year and determine the most useful ones. Posts are selected by screening judges and then judged by a panel of final judges, from which four awardees are selected each year. These four posts/awardees are then ranked by a poll (hosted on X) that is open to the public. Monetary awards and recognition are given to these four award winners each year. This practice motivates users to participate actively in the platform and incentivizes users to post high-quality educational content. Not only does the selection of these high-quality posts by the judges prevent information pollution on the platform, but it also plays a vital role in expanding the interest of medical students in the field of pathology, as well as the perspective of pathology residents and specialists on the field, and it also plays a role in increasing collaboration.
