    Description

    The Western Sydney University Painted River Project: Rare Upland Swamps of the Blue Mountains was a 3-year art, science, and design field study, major exhibition, and public program centred on water health and Care for Country; run in partnership with Gundungurra Traditional Custodians.

    The School of Humanities and Communication Arts and School of science-led team comprised start from multiple disciplines across the University, also partnering with local government, other Universities, arts organisations, and the community. This Innovative engagement project featured scientists and nationally significant creative practitioners, linking art, science, design, and mass communication to deepen social and ecological understanding of the environment.
