    Abstract

![CDATA[Steel reinforced concrete (SRC) column is being widely used in engineering structures. It is thus very important to understand the fire performance of this kind of composite structures. This paper generally reviewed some of the current research outcome on the behaviour of SRC columns under fire. Four SRC columns were tested under ISO-834 Standard fire and the results were presented in this paper. Some important parameters, such as the sectional type, the load eccentricity and the fire load level were investigated. From the rest, it was found that the shaped steel and the concrete cooperated well under fire exposure. The sectional type and the load eccentricity had moderate influence on the fire resistance of the SRC columns, however, the influence of fire load level was significant.]]
