    Abstract

![CDATA[The number of profiling tools within organisational environments is increasing rapidly, so it is important to consider whether these supposedly different tools are actually measuring different aspects. This study examined the relations between the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Instinctive Drives System™. The study consisted of 50 participants, who completed both personality measures. Canonical correlation analysis, as well as bivariate correlation analysis was used to determine significant relations between the scales. Canonical correlation was found to be a useful analytical tool, highlighting the fact that whilst there is a small connection between the two measures, they are essentially measuring different aspects of personality. The results of the study highlight the need for further research in this area.]]
