    Abstract

Ultra-wideband (UWB) communication is emerging as an alternative physical technology for future Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN). Utilization of multiple channels available in UWB networks provides the benefits of increasing the throughput and reducing propagation delay. In this paper, we present an algorithm that can utilize the available multiple channels in UWB networks. The idea of the algorithm is based on a distributed dynamic channel technique. We also present the algorithm in detail. Simulations results show that the throughput increases as the number of channels increases and decreases the transmission delay.
