Abstract

In reading through this issue you will see a strong focus on the importance of children and adolescence in the sports medicine, sports science, and physical activity arena. You will read articles focusing on anabolic-androgenic steroids in school students, the relationship between injury history, risk perception, and sport participation in young athletes, the relationship between plantar pressures, physical activity and sedentariness among preschool children, a feasibility study on using active video games with obese adolescents, and a comparison of different VO2max equations in discriminating metabolic risk in adolescents.
