Abstract

John of God is a Brazilian medium practicing spiritual healing. Since the beginning of 2000, John of God has been asked to lead healing events in countries as diverse as Germany, USA, New Zealand, Greece and Peru, among others. This article analyses the globalization of this new religious movement, focusing particularly on Australia.
