Abstract
Recently, researchers have shown an increased interest in areas of Virtual Organisation (VO). However, no research up to now has proposed a model to present VO. The purpose of this paper is to present VO as an elementary model that is all-encompassing, simple and intelligible. Grounded in an extensive literature review, this model shows the transition of non-virtual organisation to VO, the key characteristics of the VO, the four types of VO and the taxonomies of VO. It is envisaged by the author that this model will create a conceptual framework that can contribute to a better understanding of VO.
