Abstract

This chapter presents a literature synthesis focused on bringing to light different definitions and types of clients. A discussion on the ability of different clients to stimulate innovation in construction is also presented. This aims to help determine and predict the relationships that govern the client involvement with, and support for, innovation during the design and construction of buildings.
