Abstract
Possibly ever since Paul Hilberg’s seminal Perpetrators, Victims, Bystanders: The Jewish Catastrophe, 1933–1945 was published in 1992, the issue of passive bystanders in Nazi Germany has been debated, to which Mary Fulbrook’s Bystander Society makes a valuable contribution.
