This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To assess: "¢ the effectiveness of acupuncture in alleviating the side effects of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, hormonal therapy or palliative treatment in women with breast cancer; and "¢ the safety of acupuncture.
