Abstract
After the rain was composed for a short film by Sydney video installation artist, Noelene Lucas. The film was shot in the midst of a drought at Hill End, early one morning the day after the one day it rained in the month of May, 2009. Drawing on a minimalist aesthetic, the four pianos weave a circular pattern reflecting the rising mist of the film's subject matter. Players are given instructions as to how often to repeat the work and how to end it. ISMN: 9790900978841.
