Abstract
Between 1893 and 1895, two ambitious young Australian women, Agnes Bennett and Mary Booth, corresponded during an important time of their lives: the beginnings of the education that was to see Bennett become an internationally renowned doctor based in Wellington, and Booth - briefly - a noted eugenicist and then an influential charitable and political activist in Sydney.
