Abstract
This paper addresses the robust design of pole placement controllers in the presence of structured parametric uncertainty in a plant. A design algorithm is proposed to minimize pole placement error so as to better achieve the desired closed-loop performances. It is shown that the proposed design algorithm not only has a fast rate of convergence in search of maximum tolerance with regard to pole placement error, but also is easy to understand and convenient to implement.
