Abstract
On December 16, 2010, the Companies (Amendment) Ordinance (CAO) 2010 came into effect in Hong Kong (HK). The Companies Ordinance (CO) is the main statute focused on limited companies incorporated in HK. It is amended almost every year in the form of CAO. This article will give an overview of the major changes brought about by the 2010 version of CAO. The latter is significant because it may be the last CAO before substantial changes are introduced from 2011.
