Analytical recursive approach to a simple linear mixed model

    Abstract

    The recursive procedure for updating the parameter estimates and computing the residuals for a simple Linear Mixed Model is considered assuming normally distributed errors. The method is illustrated using a balanced block structure with three blocks and two treatments.
