Abstract

The progression of how students appreciate drama is embedded in the outcomes of the New South Wales Creative K-6 Arts Syllabus (2000). These outcomes reflect this journey towards the idea of objective appreciation, and there is a similar progression in most drama syllabuses. Students at all levels of drama learning can appreciate their classroom drama work by reflecting on characters and their relationships; the features of drama forms; dramatic narratives; elements of drama; and social and cultural connections.
