Abstract
Many things could be said about The Spy Catchers, the first volume of the government-funded 'official history' of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation ('ASIO'), published late in 2014. This article focusses on what the book partially reveals about the lawlessness with which ASIO was established and operated for decades, and no doubt still does.
