Abstract

Colloquium: The computer attitudes of post secondary students in Singapore were examined considering three subscales such as computer importance (CI), computer anxiety (CA), and computer enjoyment (CE). A high score on CI and CE corresponds to higher perceived CI and enjoyment, while a high score on the CA scale corresponds to lower anxiety. The high means for the three subscales shows positive computer attitudes and the low Standard Deviation (SD) shows a minimum spread of participant responses. Students who own computers are found to have higher means for all subscales than those who do not own computers at home. A MANOVA on the three subscales and computer ownership revealed a significant difference between the attributes for students with computer at home that those without.
