Abstract

Beach tourism is a product of Western modernity that includes a diverse range of leisure practices associated with the coast that contribute to the economy. These practices are shaped by transnational as well as local influences and are dynamic and fluid. The majority of studies on beach tourism address its marketing, economic growth, and sustainable practices.
