Abstract

The aspects related with information technology (IT) procurement in construction organizations are discussed. The challenges associated with IT procurement are also discussed and a VM integrated model capable of increasing customer satisfaction while removing unnecessary expenditure on resources is presented. A CASE tool has been incorporated with VM principles that assist users in IT procurement and in achieving value in the procurement process. The benefits expected from application of VM to IT procurement are the development of a decision support system that ensures the best value, cost savings and better performance in the procurement process.
