Abstract

The intersections of performance and the political have been gaining increasing prominence within geography, as more consideration is given to the ways in which how bodies move through the world connects to how worlds are made. As well as acknowledging the inherently signifying and embedded nature of this movement – the expressions of bodies being raced, classed, gendered, and tied to specific places and identities – the slippages of movement from representation, or the ways in which how moving bodies subvert and remake identity, is also compelling geographical scholarship.
