Braided River for 3 Midi Pianos

Research output: Creative WorksAudio or Visual Works

Abstract

Appearing in the CD 'New Music for Multiple Keyboards', Braided River for three midi pianos by Diana Blom explores the stereo picture through six piano lines spatially intertwining and cascading across the stereo soundfield. A braided river is one which divides and joins again and again as it works its way down to lake or sea, and the music uses this as a way of shaping the stereo picture.
