Abstract
In this paper, the performance of the root-MUSIC for the blind carrier frequency offset estimation is examined. The CFO root is normally chosen as the one closest to the unit circle. From our experimental study, it is found that the performance can be significantly improved if the CFO root is picked up as the one giving rise to a minimum value of the MUSIC polynomial.
