    Abstract

    The Civionics Research Centre at the University of Western Sydney (UWS) is a multi-disciplinary research group with expertise in Civil/Structural Engineering. Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Construction Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Multi-disciplinary approaches are being developed to advance the current capabilities of structural health monitoring. In this chapter, some recent activities on research, development and implementation of structural health monitoring for civil infrastructure in the centre are briefly introduced. The content includes wireless sensor network development, advanced signal processing and structural condition assessment.
