N2 - Extreme climate events such as severe heatwaves, devastating floods, irregular rainfall patterns, and prolonged droughts have had significant impacts on the global Earth and its ecosystems. These events are often associated with climate change and are becoming more frequent and intense as greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions continue to rise. Taking action to combat climate change is urgent and crucial because the clock is ticking. The impacts of climate change are already evident, and we are running out of time to prevent further escalation of the crisis. Each passing day without meaningful action exacerbates the challenges we face in mitigating the worst effects of climate change. Immediate and concerted efforts are needed to reduce GHG emissions, transition to sustainable practices, and build climate resilience to protect our planet and future generations. The longer we delay, the harder and costlier it becomes to address the consequences of climate change, making urgent action a moral and practical imperative.
