Abstract

A study was performed to determine differences, if any, of contact lens surface characteristics and subjective comfort ratings of high Dk contact lenses worn on a six nights extended wear (6NEW) or 30 nights extended wear (30 NEW) schedule. Differences between the 6NEW and 30 NEW groups were assessed using analysis of variance. There were no significant differences in the lens characteristics between the 6NEW and 30NEW groups. The 30NEW group had slightly better overall comfort than the 6NEW group.
