    Abstract

In most recent times, there has been very little attempt in the discourse to reflexively consider the manner in which postmodernist theory may recast our thinking about compliance behaviour. In this paper we re-visit the notion of a psychological contract and its contested nature in the organization behaviour discourse and in so doing we seek to take advantage of the heuristic potential and opportunities that consideration of postmodernist theory affords.
