Conclusion: embracing diverse cultural contexts and interdisciplinary approaches to qualitative research with children across nations

The final chapter provides critical and reflexive discussions of the collection of chapters in this book, which have presented experiences from research fieldwork and practice by members of the CUWB network, individually and collectively. Focus is on co-constructing research findings with children, the significance of context responsive approaches; the value of documenting, confronting and reflecting upon challenges that arise in research; the significance of principled pragmatism; and the processes of doing multi-disciplinarity research, which, we believe, provide a more nuanced understanding of children’s experiences.
The editors reflect on the some of the lessons learned from the diverse contributions, specifically co-constructing research findings with children, the significance of context responsive approaches and researcher dialogue; the value of documenting, confronting and reflecting upon challenges that arise in research; the significance of principled pragmatism; and the processes of and values in doing multi-disciplinarity research.
